Shop Local! It’s Small Business Saturday in Andover. From 11-2 there will be music, giveaways,great deals at all your favorite stores, and more.
I don’t know how he does it all, but there will be Santa sightings in several places this weekend. The North Andover Santa Parade is Saturday. It starts at noon at the Middle School and proceeds through town, ending on Sutton Street. Bring your chairs, dress warmly, and get a good spot along the route. North Andover’s Tree Lighting Festival takes place Sunday on the Common from 4-6 pm, offering up music, food and special guest appearances. Andover’s Santa Parade is Sunday, starting at 1:00. It begins and ends at the Doherty Middle School.

If you’re searching for some unique gift ideas, head to the 25th Annual Castleberry Faire at the Shriner’s Auditorium in Wilmington on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It’s a regional favorite, a Thanksgiving tradition, and one of the largest vendor fairs in the area. With over 250 booths, you’re sure to find something for everyone on your guest list. A little easier to make your way through is the Fall Craft Fair at Nevins Memorial Library in Methuen. Not only can you find some great local food and crafts, you can also take in the beautiful architecture of the library! Saturday from 10-3.
Nunan’s Florist & Greenhouse in Georgetown is holding its annual Winter Open House on Sunday from 9 am – 5 pm. There will be food, including fresh donuts from Kane’s, as well as poinsettias, greens, wreaths, and decor for the holiday season! Visit with Santa from 10 AM to 4 PM (photos until 3 pm).
Do you set your DVR so you won’t miss “A Charlie Brown Christmas” every year? This year you can see a live stage production of the 50 year old classic. Waltham Film Factory Shorts Fest, a celebration of the art and science of the short film, takes place at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation in Waltham on Friday and Saturday. This is an opportunity to view exceptional works from around the world in a historic industrial museum, whose mission is to encourage and inspire future innovation.
