Antique and collectibles lovers are making the pilgrimage to the Brimfield Antique Flea Markets show that continues through Sunday (rain or shine). Brimfield, MA is famous across the country for the sheer volume, variety and quality of the items offered for sale. It’s the oldest outdoor antiques flea market in the US and is actually comprised of 20 different show fields throughout the area. Looking for something exciting? Think balloon festivals only take place in New Mexico? The Northeast Balloon Festival is this Friday, Saturday & Sunday at the Three County Fairgrounds in Northampton, MA. Music Town Ipswich happens in downtown Ipswich on Friday from 6-10 pm. Enjoy live music, great food, and good times on a summer evening. Patton Homestead Military Service Day at General Patton’s home at 650 Asbury Street in Hamilton. Free Admission on Saturday (rain or shine) from 10-4. There will be 1943 M4A Sherman and 1945 M24 Chaffee Tank operating demonstrations! State Police EC135 helicopter landing and display, special guest speakers, Military re-enactors, and vehicles & artillery. Smolak Farms hosts its annual Red, White & Blue Festival on Saturday and Sunday. There will be lots of family fun, including children’s games, bouncy house, giant slide, crafting, live music and more. Tickets are $10/child. For an additional cost you can pick your own berries, take a hayride or cow train ride and get your face painted!

It’s the first block party of the summer in Gloucester on Saturday from 6-10 pm. The Gloucester Block Party is a fun and festive family-friendly event that closes off a portion of Main Street to allow for live music from local bands, street performers, youth theater performances, acrobats, al fresco dining, food vendors, children’s activities and more! It’s the Independence Festival in Exeter, NH this Saturday from 10-4. Check ou the historic encampments, see re-enactments and portrayals of events from 1776, wander through the artisans’ village and take a museum tour. Thirsty?
