The wonderful downtown area gives you that feeling of turn of the century America with all the modern amenities. Haverhill was once a shoe manufacturing capital and the factories have been converted, but retain their old world look. Many of the grand colonial and Victorian homes of a bygone era dot the landscape. Major ski areas, beaches and entertainment centers are all within a 1 hour drive of this great city.

Haverhill is a commuter's paradise.  The commuter rail has 2 stops, Route 495 has 5 exits and Boston is only 40 minutes away.  Many high technology and tele-communication firms make their home in the Merrimack Valley including Lucent Technologies, Hewlett Packard and CMGI to name a few.
